Aliyah - Now Is the Time to Come Home -
Isaiah 27:12 And you will be gathered one by one,
O you children of Israel .........
There was
a song that was very popular a number of years ago, that circulated through the
Christian church, titled "Come, now is the time to
worship"............ . I believe now there is a "call"
circulating by the Spirit of the God of Israel to all Jewish people still out
there in the nations, which says "Come ..... Now
is the time to return to the land of your forefathers"
Isaiah
2:3 Come and let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord, to the house of
the God of Jacob ... in the Hebrew the word
"na'aleh" means to ascend, or go up to
Zion, or in modern day terms the word Aliyah (a return of the Jewish
people back to the homeland that the God of their forefathers gave them) is
used for returning to
the land.
The land cries out and awaits every Jew that was scattered from one end of the
earth to the other, to return, to be established, settled and rooted in this
amazing miracle land that God named Israel. This is His very own land and
it is fit and spacious enough for every one of His own people to live
comfortably, and with every provision.
In the 61 years of the existence of modern Israel (1948-2009) , God has done
many mighty miracles, not only in the lives of the people, but also in the land
which has amazingly blossomed in the hands of the Jewish people - initially
through the blood sweat and tears of the early Zionist pioneers who reclaimed
it. Now Israel is once again a land flowing with milk and honey.
Malaria infested swamps have miraculously been turned into fertile land.
Water has been redirected from the rivers in the north to irrigate the dry,
parched land in the south. The mountains and hills that were barren and without
vegetation have been tilled and sown, and the deserts have been reclaimed through
hard work and high technology. Many cities have been founded, or rebuilt
on their ancient sites, and are booming. Israel's capital, Jerusalem, has
been developed into a thriving,
busy, beautiful city. In a spiritual fulfillment of Aliyah there are now around
150 Messianic congregations that are continuing to grow and be added to
regularly, with Jews who have returned to the land, and with those already in
the land, who are being saved.
This land is a miracle and everything in it is a miracle. Israel makes a
statement to the world that there is a God, and He is the God of Israel, and
that He keeps His word.
Israel today is literally "filling the earth with its fruit" Isaiah 27:6 Israel shall blossom and bud and fill the
face of the world with fruit ..... Israel has
exported in recent years, an average per year of 160,000 tons of citrus fruits
alone (aside from other fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers).
What a miracle !
Israel is also at the forefront of technological and scientific development
worldwide and out of all proportion to her size and population, Israel has
outstanding achievements in science, agriculture, health-care, education,
culture and arts.
The Lord continues daily to regather His people, out of every nation, back to
their homeland. The population of Jews in Israel is now 6,000,000, another
miracle. and they continue to come in still at around 1000 per
week. Even in the midst of the Second Lebanon War in 2006 more than
4000 people made Aliyah.
This amazing fulfillment of God's prophetic Word, focuses our attention on His
end time plans and program, leaving us in no doubt as to where we currently are
in God's schedule of events. Aliyah is one of the greatest prophetic
signs for His preparation to return. It is prophesied many times in God's
word, that the Messiah will not return until His people have returned 'home' to
Israel. The God of Israel is glorified when His people live in the land
He gave them, but His name is profaned when the Jewish people are still living
in the nations. Ezekiel 36:20- When they
came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My Holy name when they
said of them, These are the people of the Lord and yet they have gone out of
His land
The highest percentage of Jews returning today, are secular Jews,
and the smaller percentage are religious Jews. There are numerous young Jewish
adults between the ages of 18-25 returning, and they are often
forerunners for the rest of their family and relatives to follow soon
after. There are also many young families
returning, and a small percentage of elderly folk, in their 80's and even
in their 90's making a return to their homeland, Israel. However,
suprisingly enough, there is a very low percentage of Messianic Jews
returning.
The majority of Messianic Jews in the world today, living outside of
Israel, reside in the United States of America. What happened
to the Messianic Jews in America who know their God, know their Messiah,
know the scriptures and what is written in the Tenach about Aliyah ? Why
are they not returning in large numbers ? Could it be that
life is too cosy and comfortable, or maybe they have been
"bewitched" by their senses ? Maybe they have not seen the
"handwriting" on the wall or realise the catastrophic
"hour" in which we live? The whole Jewish community
worldwide is in great danger of attack. Whatever, we need to pray
for their hearts to
be changed and for their eyes to be opened.
Now is the time for all Jews, in every nation to get out of the nation in which
they were scattered and to come home to Israel. God is calling all Jews.
The land is calling them. The Messianic body here in the land is calling
them, to come home now while they can and are able to bring all their
belongings. Events could happen suddenly where there may be no time to
gather belongings. Remember the words of warning by Zeev
Jabotinsky, before WW11 "get out now while you can" .
The reason I write this article is because of a sense of urgency in
my spirit , and a deep love I have in my heart for the Jewish people.
This urgency has continued to beat in my heart for the last 6
months, especially for the Jews in the United States of America
. As the political situation rapidly deteriorates, the handwriting is
definately on the wall.
My heartfelt prayer is for every Jew , but particularly the Messianic
Jews, in the Unites States of America, to be awakened and to "know and understand the times in which we are in and what
they ought to do' (1 Chronicles 12:32
) to get ready, get prepared for their God to bring them home, for now is the time to come. May each one follow in the steps of their secular and
religious brothers and sisters, to return to the land of their
forefathers, Israel.
